Terms of Service
These terms govern access to and use of the truvon.id website and platform. A signed order form or master agreement, where one exists, takes precedence over these terms.

1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between truvon.id Inc. (“truvon.id”, “we”, “us”) and the individual or entity accessing the website or the platform (“you”, “Customer”). By accessing or using the website or the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. Where truvon.id and a Customer have signed a separate written agreement (for example, an order form, master subscription agreement, or data processing agreement), that agreement controls and these Terms fill any gaps.
2. The services
truvon.id provides infrastructure for identity verification, business (KYB/UBO) verification, sanctions and adverse-media screening, fraud monitoring, risk decisioning, investigation case management, and evidence and audit retention, together with related APIs, SDKs, and a console (collectively, the “Services”). Feature availability, usage limits, and support levels depend on your plan.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for your account credentials and API keys, for all activity under your account, and for keeping contact and billing information current. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised use. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Services, other customers, or third parties.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to permit any user to:
- use the Services in violation of applicable law or the rights of others;
- submit personal data without a valid legal basis, or use the Services to unlawfully surveil, discriminate against, or harm individuals;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services or related systems, or probe or test their vulnerability without our written permission;
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services;
- reverse engineer or copy the Services except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law;
- resell or provide the Services to a third party except as expressly permitted in a written agreement.
5. Customer data and compliance responsibilities
As between the parties, you retain all rights in the data you or your users submit to the Services (“Customer Data”). You grant us a limited licence to process Customer Data solely to provide and support the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable DPA.
You are responsible for determining that your use of the Services is appropriate for your regulatory obligations, for configuring policies, thresholds, and retention correctly, for providing any notices and obtaining any consents required from individuals, and for the decisions you make using the Services. The Services support compliance work; they do not constitute legal, regulatory, or investment advice, and they do not replace your own judgement or supervision.
6. Service changes and availability
We may update the Services from time to time. We will not make changes that materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during its term without a comparable replacement or notice as set out in your agreement. We aim for high availability but do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free except as expressly stated in a written service-level commitment.
7. Fees
Fees, billing frequency, and usage bands are set out in your order form or plan. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of taxes, non-cancellable, and non-refundable. Overage above a committed volume is billed at the rates in your plan. We may revise standard pricing on renewal with notice.
8. Confidentiality
Each party may receive information of the other that is marked or reasonably understood to be confidential. The receiving party will use it only to perform under these Terms and protect it with at least reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is public through no fault of the receiving party, was known without a duty of confidentiality, is independently developed, or is required to be disclosed by law (with notice where permitted).
9. Intellectual property
truvon.id and its licensors own the Services, software, documentation, and all related intellectual property. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services during your subscription term, subject to these Terms. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction.
10. Third-party providers
The Services can connect to third-party data and verification providers that you select or that we make available. Those providers’ data and results are their responsibility; your use of them may be subject to their terms, and we are not liable for their acts or omissions.
11. Warranties and disclaimers
We warrant that we will provide the Services with reasonable skill and care. Except as expressly stated in these Terms or a written agreement, the Services are provided “as is” and we disclaim all other warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that screening, matching, or risk outputs are complete or accurate; they depend on third-party data and your configuration.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or related to these Terms. Except for your payment obligations and each party’s liability for breach of confidentiality or infringement of the other’s intellectual property, each party’s total liability arising out of or related to these Terms will not exceed the fees paid or payable by you for the Services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify truvon.id against third-party claims arising from your Customer Data, your use of the Services in breach of these Terms or applicable law, or decisions you make using the Services. We will defend and indemnify you against third-party claims that the Services, as provided by us and used in accordance with these Terms, infringe that third party’s intellectual property rights.
14. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you access the website or the Services. Subscription terms and renewal are set out in your order form. Either party may terminate for the other’s material breach that is not cured within 30 days of notice. On termination, your right to use the Services ends; we will make Customer Data available for export for a limited period as described in your agreement, after which we may delete it, subject to legal retention requirements. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws specified in your order form or master agreement and, absent that, by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, without prejudice to either party seeking injunctive relief in any competent court.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will provide notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice). Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be emailed to contact@truvon.id or sent through our contact page.
